The VP Twin Black Bakerlite Camera For Sale
The VP twin size is 90mm x 70mm and was made for Woolworths. It was sold from 1935 until the outbreak of the 2nd WW and the again until the late 50s. The price was 1s 6d (7.5p) before the war, 3s (15p) at the start of the 1950s and 7s 6d (37.5p) till the end of theirrun in the late 1950s.
The VP Twin was difficult to use successfully, the viewfinder could lead to catastrophic framing errors and the shutter release was awkward, so that camera shake was commonplace. It takes 120 film which is still available, a camera used by the very young novice.

The apperture and speeds works well. The lenses are clear of fungus, it's been protected throughout its life by a camera case & lens cap (the stitching has been repaired a little on the case). The hood closes a little to the side but dosen't effect the focus. Some scuffs around the edges with the black material fading here and there, it has been used a lot.
